Cancer Support Centre in Tipperary will hold gala fundraising lunch

The Cancer Support Centre lunch will be held at the Talbot Hotel Clonmel on Friday February 28

The CARE Cancer Support Centre in Wellington Street, Clonmel is delighted to announce that it will hold its Gala Lunch at the Talbot Hotel, Clonmel on Friday February 28.

This is the centre’s first such event since the pandemic and they trust it will be as successful and enjoyable as in previous years.

As an independent cancer support centre, covering Clonmel and the south Tipperary area, the centre is totally dependent on sponsorship, donations and fundraising to allow them to continue their work of providing emotional support to people who have been affected by cancer.

They do this through a variety of means including counselling, complementary therapies and group therapy sessions such as mindfulness and art classes. They also offer support to the families of those affected. All of the services are provided free of charge.

The centre has been very fortunate to have had the support of the public on a consistent basis since its foundation and humble beginnings some 23 years ago and they sincerely hope this will continue into the future.

This forthcoming lunch in the Talbot Hotel is the first fundraiser for 2025 and they look forward to welcoming as many people as possible to what promises to be a very enjoyable and social event.

Tickets are priced at €70 each and are available from the Talbot Hotel reception (cash only).

The day’s proceedings will begin with a drinks/welcoming reception at 1pm, with lunch at 1.30pm. There will be a raffle and prizes on the day also.

All are very welcome.
