A learner driver in Tipperary was taught a lesson in what happens when motorists take to the roads with no valid documents.
Gardaí conducting a checkpoint in Newport, Tipperary over the weekend detained several vehicles for having no valid documents including an unaccompanied learner driver.

In a social media update, gardaí revealed that the driver of the vehicle had no insurance, no NCT, and was on a learner permit unaccompanied. It is understood that gardaí seized the vehicle.
