Tributes have poured in following the sad passing of Aidan Brazil, late of Glenacunna, Ballyporeen, county Tipperary.
Aidan passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, surrounded by his family in the wonderful care of the staff at St Clare's Nursing Home in Cashel.
He is predeceased by his loving mother Maureen and aunt Cathleen.
Aidan will be sadly missed by his brother Tom and sister-in-law Julia, his niece Catherine, nephews Tom and Alan, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, friends, neighbours especially Ned, Helen, Anne Fitzgerald and Helen Hannon.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Aidan, with one mourner writing,
"On my own behalf and on behalf of Tipperary Civil Defence, I want to extend sincere condolences to your family on the passing of Aidan. Aidan was for so many years a valued member of the Ballyporeen unit of Civil Defence and enjoyed our training sessions and especially our weekend away for camp. May he rest in peace."
Another wrote,
"Aidan was a lovely gentle good humoured man, always had a smile for us. He always arrived before time regardless of weather conditions. T'was a privilege to know you Aidan. We loved your Christmas visit usually with a turkey. All the thoughtful things you did so quietly. Rest in peace."
While another wrote,
"Sincere sympathy to Tom and all the Brazil family. Aidan was a lovely man and great neighbour. May he rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday, March 12, followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery.
A special thank you to the staff at St Clare's Nursing Home Cashel for the exceptional care shown to Aidan.
