Davins GAA Club
Carrick Davins Under 13 footballers’ South Championship season came to an end last Thursday evening after a hard fought battle against a very strong Ballingarry side in Grangemockler.
Despite facing a bigger and physically stronger team, the boys showed massive heart, work rate and character throughout the game.
This is a very young squad, and the experience of nights like this will stand to them as they continue to develop. There’s huge potential and spirit in this group, and the Club is immensely proud of their efforts.
Under 15 Football
The Club’s Under 15 footballers competed in the Féile Peile na nÓg competition last weekend. The team advanced to the semi-final after recording a win over Emly/Solohead, a draw with Father Sheehy’s, and a narrow loss to Newcastle.
Despite a brave effort, they were narrowly beaten by Newport.
There are plenty of positives to build on as this talented group keeps moving forward.
Earlier in the week, the Under 15 footballers secured a brilliant win over Emly/Solohead in the opening round of the Tipperary Under 15 Football Championship at Páirc Daimín.
The Club was proud to give Under 15 debuts to Tom Tobin, Jayden McGrath, Norald Ayazin, Riley Rocket, Kyle Hardiman, and Patrick Corcoran all of whom made a big impact on the evening.
The Davins Club says well done to the players and mentors for a strong start to the championship campaign.
Intermediate Hurling
The Intermediate Hurling League fixture against Ballybacon-Grange, scheduled for last Saturday, was postponed following a tragic bereavement in the Ballybacon-Grange Club.
All at Carrick Davins GAA extend deepest sympathies to the Ballybacon-Grange Club, the bereaved family and all those affected by this loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh anam.
