Carrick Davins GAA Club

The Carrick Davins Under 15 football team achieved a brilliant win over Fr Sheehy’s.

The team proved that goals win games, and they made theirs count in this encounter. They will now look ahead to their next match with real confidence.

Intermediate Hurling

The Intermediate hurlers were beaten by a strong Holycross/Ballycahill side in the County League on Sunday. The final score was 1-26 to 0-21.

A 20-minute scoring blitz in the first half gave Holycross a lead they didn’t lose. However, some smart positional changes and strong use of the bench sparked a resurgence of the Davins in the second half.

While the Carrick team left themselves too much to do, real promise was shown, with several players putting their hands up for selection moving forward.

FÉILE CHAMPIONS

The club congratulates its Under 15 hurlers, who were crowned Féile na nGael Champions 2025, after a phenomenal weekend in Páirc Daimhín.

After edging out Durlas Óg, they had to watch Newport run up a huge score on the same opposition before facing them later that day.

Despite a big effort, they came up short in that group match.

The following morning the team played Emly/Solohead in the semi-final.

Down by three points at half-time, they clawed their way back level before storming through extra-time to win by six points.

The Davins team played Newport again in the final. They were relentless and ruthless in attacking the opposition goal and composed in defence.

They were one point ahead at half-time and never let go of their lead in the second half.
