The GAA pitch at Monroe, a couple of miles outside of Clonmel, will host two South Tipperary Championship finals on Sunday evening.

The first game is the Clonmel Oil Senior football final between Clonmel Commercials and Ballyporeen at 5pm.

The Clonmel team lost out to Moyle Rovers in last year's decider and will be hoping to go one better this year. They beat Rovers by 1-21 to 2-15 after extra-time in last weekend's semi-final.

The Clonmel team will be favourites but Ballyporeen will be going all out to cause an upset, having defeated Grangemockler/Ballyneale by 0-17 to 0-15 in the other semi-final last Sunday.

The intermediate final, meanwhile, which starts at 7pm, is a repeat of last year's final between Clonmel Commercials and Fethard, which Commercials won.
