The happy pair moments after their 'engagement' at Phoenix Park

A viral TikTok video with nearly 200,000 views showing a Tipperary man "proposing" to his "girlfriend" at a Zach Bryan concert over the weekend has turned out to be nothing more than an elaborate hoax.

The country music star Zach Bryan played three sold-out shows at Dublin's Phoenix Park last weekend, and fans on the third and final night thought they'd seen a Tipperary man seal the deal as the concert drew near to a close.

Below is a screenshot from the video where the "bride to be" says yes and (possibly due to the excitement of it all) holds out the wrong hand to receive the ring.

A friend of the viral star called the Tipperary Star offices the morning after the concert to congratulate them and give details about a huge engagement bash later this month.

Sadly, it all turned out to be a bit of fun, and there'll be no "pink skies" to look for on their wedding day!
