Tipperary (113pts) retained the National League last Sunday week in Tullamore after a hard-fought battle with Galway (108pts) in second and Louth (94pts) in third position. Tipperary overturned an eleven-point deficit in the semi-final to win by 5pts in the final.
Tipperary had athletes competing in all twenty-one athletic events on the programme, also eight of the squad are individual National champions in their chosen events, past or present, with two current National senior champions.
The average age of the team is just under twenty years of age. There's strength in depth in women's athletics in Tipperary at present.
