Members of the Tipperary fire service attended a fire in the Glen of Aherlow on Thursday evening.
Locals were alarmed and left their nearby houses when they heard a loud noise and they saw that a fire had engulfed a jeep which was parked in a car park beside the Glen Hotel.

"There was a loud bang like an explosion and people left their houses to see what what happening ands the fire brigade arrive some time later," said a local resident.

It is understood that the driver of the jeep had just parked his car and had managed to get out of the vehicle before the fire started.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
