Popular Tipperary hotel 'delighted' to take home bronze at Bar of the Year Awards 2025

Joseph Lawrence and Katie Whyte take home bronze for the Cashel Palace Hotel

The Guinness Bar at Cashel Palace picked up the Bronze Award for 'Ireland's Best 5-Star Hotel Bar' at Bar of the Year Awards 2025 this week.

The hotel says they were well represented with Joseph Lawrence and Katie Whyte, both of whom have "contributed greatly to the bar experience at Cashel Palace thanks to their shining personalities, teamwork, and depth of menu knowledge".

"The Guinness Bar is steeped in history, with its name rooted in our link with the Guinness Family.

"Richard Guinness's son Arthur Guinness, who was the godson of Cashel Palace Archbishop Arthur Price, was left £100 in his godfather’s will – the same £100 he used to secure the lease on the site of St. James’s Gate brewery in Dublin."
