A medieval village will be created in Clonmel on Saturday August 23 as part of National Heritage Week
Tipperary Museum of Hidden History will be hosting a free family day in Mick Delahunty Square on Saturday August 23.
Events included are arts and crafts, The Big Dig, Medieval Village and Warriors, Channons Forge, Straw and Willow Crafts.
CLONMEL LIBRARY
In association with Clonmel Library there will be a feature talk on The Dresser project and Story Telling.
It will take place from 11am to 4pm on Saturday.

The car park at Mick Delahunty Square in front of the Tipperay Museum will be transformed into a medieval settlement to celebrate Clonmel’s origins as a medieval walled town.
WAR ARTEFACTS
There will be an opportunity for visitors to interact with the living history specialists, to ask questions and handle artefacts associated with war, food, medicine and crafts.

There will also be traditional craft demonstrations in wood/stone carving, farrier, spinning and straw craft.
There will even be battle training. The School of Irish Archaeology who ran recent Tipperary Museum summer camps will be there with the Big Dig for all to take part in .
A talk on Traditional Irish dressers will be held in Clonmel Library at 11.30am – admission is free but space is limited so booking can be made on eventbrite.
Tommy Lanigan aka Balór the storyteller will entertain children from 2-3pm in Clonmel Library – again space is limited so reserve your place at eventbrite.
WORKSHOPS
Art and craft family workshops will be held in the Museum at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm - again free admission but booking is required eventbrite.
