Australian writers, literary editors and publishers Linda Adair and Mark Roberts will be the special guests at the first Poetry Plus Open Mic session of the autumn season in Carrick-on-Suir's Brewery Lane Theatre's tearoom on Friday, September 12 at 8pm.
Both are the founding/managing editors of the literary journal Rochford Street Review - a highly respected literary journal in Australia that regularly publishes poetry, book reviews, interviews and book launch speeches, including many Irish poets.
Poetry Plus organiser Margaret O'Brien said Mark and Linda are also wonderful poets, both with Irish heritage, and they run a book publishing arm - Rochford Press.
"I was honoured to have had some of my own poems published in the Rochford Street Review a couple of years ago.
"As they begin their Irish visit I look forward to offering them a warm welcome to Carrick-on-Suir and to the tearoom at Brewery Lane Theatre."
She said it promises to be a very special night, not to be missed.
As seating in Brewery Lane's tearoom is limited, people planning to attend should book their place beforehand. You can do so online at www.ticketsource.com/brewery-lane-theatre
