An activity to help people explore history in a sensory way will be hosted by the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History in Clonmel for Culture Night.
A Fun and Games ac tivity session will be held from 6-9pm on September 12.

The Tipperary Museum of Hidden History in Clonmel has two themed boxes full of historical and everyday objects that people can both relate to and associate with bygone days, they are a great way to explore history in a sensory and imaginative way and they stimulate conversation and reminiscence.

Join Leisa to explore a memory box on the theme of Leisure or Pastimes from the last 150 years in Ireland. How have toys and games changed and what about the different things we do for fun today as compared with in the 1950s or 60s? You will be able to handle the historic objects and share your thoughts, memories and ideas.
Leisa Gray is a socially engaged visual artist and textile-maker. She has worked extensively with museum and gallery collections as well as coordinating large scale community projects. She is fascinated by material culture and the way that everyday objects are part of the stories that make up our lives.
