A man, aged in his 30s, arrested in relation to a "serious assault" incident in Tipperary Town over the weekend has been charged and is due to appear before Monday morning's sitting of Nenagh District Court, September 15, 2025.
The victim - a man in his 80s - has since died after being attacked at a house in Tipperary.

The serious assault happened in a property at St Michael's Avenue in Tipperary Town on Friday night at around 9.35pm.
The pensioner was taken to University Hospital Limerick in a critical condition.
Gardaí announced on Monday morning that the injured man has since died in hospital.
A garda senior investigating officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and a family liaison officer (FLO) is providing support to the family of the man who died.
The local coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
Gardaí have repeated their appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Anyone who was in the area of St Michael's Avenue between 7pm and 10pm on Friday and has video camera footage, including dash-cam, is also asked to make it available to investigating gardai.
