A man living in Clonmel, has launched an urgent appeal to help cover medical expenses for his mother, who is currently on a ventilator following a stroke.

Ron Anthony Chan, a Filipino national living in Borheenduff, Clonmel, has been working in Ireland since May 2024. As the only child and with his father having passed away in 2003, Mr. Chan is solely responsible for his mother’s care and medical bills. The cost of her ongoing treatment is mounting rapidly, and he has turned to the community for assistance.

He has launched a GoFundMe campaign with a target of €5,500 to help cover her hospital expenses. Donations can be made via the following link: GO FUND ME

Mr. Chan’s appeal highlights the challenges faced by many families supporting loved ones abroad, and he hopes the local community can offer some support during this difficult time.
