Carrick-on-Suir GAA club's adult hurling teams have key championship matches this week

Carrick Swan GAA Club

Carrick Swan Premier Intermediate hurlers will play Silvermines in the county quarter-final in Boherlahan at 2.30pm on Saturday, September 27.

The Club's Junior B hurlers booked their place in the South final in Fethard on Sunday, September 28 at 12pm after a hard-fought two point win over Killenaule.

The Junior B camogie team played a tough game and were beaten, but the result means they finish in joint second place and qualify for the county quarter-final.

Meanwhile, the Under 15A hurlers reached the South final after a hard-fought win on Saturday against Fethard in Marlfield. They now play Mullinahone in the final.

The first Under 13 team play Ballingarry in the Shield on Friday at 6pm on The Green in Carrick.

The second Under 13 team were defeated by Mullinahone in their Shield game.

The Swan Club's four county players Aaron O'Halloran, Callum Lanigan, Gavin O'Halloran and Stefan Tobin brought huge joy to the children and adults of Carrick on Friday last when they took the Liam MacCarthy Cup and the Under 20 Cup to schools around the town. Great excitement was enjoyed by all.

All at Carrick Swan Club extend condolences to the Kelly family of Collins Park, the O'Donnell and O'Dwyer family of Clairín and Foran and Casey family of Garavone on the passing of their loved ones.
