Renovation works are due to commence at Dromkeen Church on Monday, 29 September, with the project expected to take two weeks to complete.
Parish Administrator Fr Tomás O’Connell said that while every effort will be made to maintain normal services, the church may have to close for safety reasons on Sunday, 5 October. This will depend on whether outside contractors can keep to their timeframes.
Once the Dromkeen works are finished, attention will turn immediately to Kilteely Church. As the works there will be entirely external, the weekend Vigil Mass will not be affected.

Fr O’Connell expressed his gratitude to parishioners for their continued support:
“Thank you sincerely for all the support thus far and indeed to come, and you can be assured of the safety and comfort of all attending both churches in the years to come,”
