As part of this year’s Positive Ageing Week, the Puckaun and Carrig Senior Citizens Association is hosting a special community event in Ballycommon.
The gathering will take place on Tuesday, October 7, at 11am in the Muintir na Tíre Hall. The programme includes a talk from an official with Allied Irish Bank’s Nenagh branch, who will provide advice on recognising and handling attempted scams, with a focus on those carried out online or over the phone.
Alongside the informative session, attendees can look forward to light entertainment featuring music and song, as well as a cup of tea.
Although the occasion is primarily aimed at senior citizens, organisers have emphasised that people of all ages are welcome to attend.
This year’s Positive Ageing Week carries the theme “The Joy of Ageing”, highlighting the value and vitality of later life.
