Peacefully after a short illness in the loving care of the staff of Nenagh Hospital. Pre-deceased by her parents Hannah and John Quirke. Deeply regretted by her sisters Annie (Corcoran- Shinrone) and Pauline (Morris- Ballingarry), brothers in law Tadhg and P.J. nieces Catriona, Annette, Marie, Carmel, Ann, Mary and their husbands, nephews Gerard, John, Michael and their wives, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her sister Annie's residence in Derrinclare, Shinrone (E53 ND89) on Sunday from 2pm with removal at 5pm to the Sacred Heart Church Upperchurch (E41 V389) arriving at 7pm approx. Funeral mass on Monday morning at 11.30am followed by burial in the local cemetery. Josephine's family would like to thank the palliative care team and staff of Nenagh Hospital for the wonderful care that she received.

Maureen O'Shaughnessy
(née Browne)

Maureen O'Shaughnessy, Curraheenduff, Coalbrook, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Maureen passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday (27th Sept) surrounded by her loved ones.

Deeply regretted by her loving partner John Stokes, John's daughter Amanda, her favourite cousin Darren and his wife Debbie, her close family, neighbours and friends.

William Willy O'Mahony

We are saddened to announce the passing of William (Willy) O Mahony, late of Ard Fatima, Clonmel. Willy passed away after a long illness bravely bourn in the care of the staff in Tipperary University Hospital in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sister and loving partner Phyllis. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, daughter Vicky, son Kelvin, son in law Larry, cherished granddaughters Chloe and Lilly and brother in law Paul. Sister in laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Willy will be reposing at John O’Donoghue and Sons Funeral Home, Kickham Street, Clonmel on Sunday 28th September 2025, from 5pm to 7pm. His Requiem Mass takes place on Monday 29th September at 11.30am in St. Oliver’s Church, Clonmel, followed by burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Joan O'Brien
(née Harrington)

The death has occurred of Joan O'Brien, (nee Harrington), Main Street, Silvermines, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Clohinch, Templederry, on the 27th September 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Peg Harrington.

She will be sadly missed by her beloved and much loved husband of 52 years Michael, children Colm, Micheál, Odhrán, Brian, Siobhán and Dónall, sister Marian, brothers Tom, Buddy and Michael, her cherished grandchildren Cathal, Ciara, Maria, Cian, Liam, Daniel, Robbie, Ruaidhrí, Meave, Emily, Billy and Danny, daughters-in-law Tricia, Mary, Karen, Elaine and Deborah, brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Anna, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends and neighbours.

Michael O'Brien

Michael passed away peacefully in his 98th year in the wonderful care of Rathkeevan Nursing Home. Predeceased by his wife Betty, daughter Moira, grandson Michael and brother Patie. He will be very sadly missed by his loving daughter Jackie (Fitzgerald), son Gerard, brother Teddy, sister in law Helen, son in law Michael, daughter in law Sis, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Mary Kennedy (nee Lawlor), 1 Oscar Terrace, Kickham Street, Thurles. September 26th, 2025, in the wonderful care of the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles.

Deeply regretted by her son Terry, sisters Rita and Joan, grand-daughter Amy, nieces, nephews, extended family, former work colleagues in the Hospital of the Assumption, neighbours and friends.
