Carrick Swan GAA Club
Carrick Swan Premier Intermediate hurlers achieved a fine win over Silvermines on Saturday last in the county quarter-final.
The team now progress to the county semi-final, where they will face Boherlahan Dualla on Saturday, October 11 at 1.30pm in Semple Stadium.
The Club's congratulations its Junior B hurlers, who were crowned South Champions on Sunday last after a great win over St. Pats.
There was heartbreak for the Swan Under 15A hurlers in the South Final, as they lost out by just one point to Mullinahone, conceding two late goals in the closing minutes. The U13 team also suffered a narrow 1-point defeat to Ballingarry in the Shield competition.
The Paddy Boland Tournament took place in Páirc na nÉalaí on Sunday. It was a lovely morning and a fitting way to honour a great Swan man.
The Club will host a coffee morning on Saturday, October 4 in Carrick Swan Juvenile Hall from 9.30am to 1.30pm in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness
The Club encourages all to come along and support. There will be wonderful spot prizes on the day.
Finally, the Swan GAA Club extends sincere condolences to the Hannigan family, Glenview, on their recent loss.
