Council extends Carrick-on-Suir town centre street closure for another two weeks

Tipperary County Council has made an order to extend the closure the L-2708 Bridge Street in Carrick-on-Suir until 7pm on Sunday 12 October to facilitate the repair and replacement of water mains.

The Carrick town centre street from its junction with Main Street (R885) to its junction with the North Quay L-6712/L-27018 has been closed since September 1 and was originally scheduled to re-open on Sunday, September 28.

Traffic is being diverted through the Westgate onto Greystone St. and on to the Well Road, to the junction of the N24 at Deerpark.

Traffic is then directed to turn south on to L-6712 and continue to Bridge Street.
