Tipperary Lions Club hosts candlelit walk in aid of children's cancer charity

It was an evening of reflection, support, caring and togetherness, an atmosphere enhanced with lovely music and song.

The purpose of the walk was to highlight the charity Childhood Cancer Ireland, a charity founded and led by parents and families of children with cancer.

The charity’s mission is to achieve health justice for all children diagnosed with cancer.

The charity’s theme for September is ‘Light It Up Gold’ whereby buildings are lit up to highlight that these children and young people are indeed more precious than gold.

Mary Immaculate College and Hayes Hotel have been hugely supportive of this initiative.
