Members of the Tipperary hurling team and their manager have taken time out of their busy schedules to recently visit children on the paediatric ward of a hospital in Tipperary.

On Monday September 29 in South Tipperary General hospital young Jack Coffey, along with his twin brother Alex and sister Ella, got to meet their heroes Liam Cahill, Oisín O'Donoghue and Eoghan Connolly.

During the special visit to the hospital in Clonmel the children had the chance to hold the Liam McCarthy cup.

The children's mom Lisa said the visit meant a lot to her son Jack. "This very special visit meant a lot to my son who has been undergoing treatment for leukaemia over the last three years."

Lisa said she'd like to highlight the time and effort from these amazing young men, who gave up time in their busy schedules to inspire the next generation and make one little boy who has had a very tough journey the last number of years very happy.
