Detective Supt. James Tierney said her period of detention was extended last night and she remains in garda custody this morning.

The woman, who is also from the Czech Republic, was arrested on Saturday night and is being detained at Clonmel Garda Station under Section 4 of the 1984 Criminal Justice Act.

Mr Javorski was found unresponsive at a residential property at Callanan's Lane, located off Castle Street in Carrick-on-Suir town centre on Saturday night. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at the apartment at approximately 11pm on Saturday.

The property where Mr Javorski was found unresponsive was sealed off and preserved and gardai from the Garda Technical Bureau carried out forensic examinations there yesterday (Sunday) and also conducted door-to-door enquiries in the Castle Street area.

State pathologist Dr Heidi Okkers carried out a preliminary examination at the scene and the deceased man's body was removed from the property at approximately 1.30pm yesterday for the conducting of a post mortem examination at Waterford University Hospital.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have any information on the fatal assault to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Clonmel Garda Station at (052) 617 7640, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station,” said a Garda spokesman.
