Nenagh Éire Óg GAA Club has contacted Gardaí after repeated incidents of vandalism at its grounds in MacDonagh Park in recent months.
The club says a group of teenagers have been riding electric scooters on the pitches, causing significant damage to the playing surfaces.
The incidents come just months after the local community helped raise more than €215,000 to upgrade the facilities, including a new public walkway around the grounds. Club officials said members had spoken to those involved but the behaviour has continued.
“This is deeply demoralising for our volunteers who spend countless hours maintaining the pitches,” the club said in a statement. “We take great pride in keeping our grounds open and welcoming for everyone.”
The club has warned that if the vandalism continues, it may be forced to close the grounds to the public.
“These facilities were funded by our community for our community. Please respect them and stop damaging our pitches,” the statement added.
