Gardaí from Roscrea Garda Station, supported by members from the Armed Support Unit and Dog Unit conducted an arrest operation in relation to ongoing investigations into incidents of assault, possession of weapons and public order that occurred in county Tipperary between November 2024 and July 2025.

As a result, two men in their 20s and 30s were arrested on Monday morning, October 6, 2025. The male in his 30s was charged and appeared before Limerick District Court on Monday afternoon.
The male in his 20s has been charged and is due to appear in front of Thurles District Court Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025.

Separately, gardaí in county Tipperary have also arrested 14 people on foot of outstanding bench warrants in Nenagh, Roscrea and Newport on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Speaking about the operations, Inspector Aiden Lonergan from the East Clare Tipperary North Community Engagement Functional Area stated the following: "This operation shows the determination of An Garda Síochána across north Tipperary and east Clare to bring those involved in serious public order and related matters before the courts.

"Those who fail to appear in court and who receive a bench warrant will continue to be a focus for members stationed across north Tipperary and east Clare."
Investigations are ongoing.
