The Glean Glas playground remains closed

Roscrea's Gleann Glas playground has been closed to the public until further notice after an act of vandalism rendered the play equipment unusable last month.

Local Councillor Shane Lee says he believes the required repairs will take some time as the local authority's budget for such repairs is very limited.

“Please be advised that Gleann Glas Playground, Roscrea, will remain closed until further notice to facilitate necessary repairs following recent vandalism,” the local authority said.

“To ensure the safety of users, it is both necessary and regrettable that the playground must close. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.”
