Lights at the entrance to Avondale Crescent have been out of order since September 28, when ESB crews were carrying out works on the N74. As part of the project, six poles were due to be upgraded, but only four were removed. The new lights have yet to be installed, and in the meantime two generators are providing limited illumination in a small area of the Spittal near Fr Matthew Street.
Residents have also expressed anger at delays in activating two pedestrian crossings along the N74. Tipperary County Council has said it is awaiting confirmation from contractors on when the final works will be completed.
Faults in public lighting can be reported online by selecting the relevant town or street on the council’s reporting system. You can follow this link to access the site: Link
