Gardaí target anti-social behaviour on Tipperary train routes as part of Operation 'Twin Tracks'

It's "full steam ahead" with Operation 'Twin Tracks' this week as members of the Gardaí in Tipperary play their part in stopping anti-social behaviour on local train routes.

Garda Mulcahy and Garda O'Grady are on patrol this targeting unacceptable behaviour on railways routes between Nenagh and Limerick this week.

The objectives of this initiative are;

  • To ensure public safety by addressing anti-social behaviour
  • Protecting life and property
  • To engage with the public and provide crime prevention advice
  • To support Irish Rail and Transdev personnel in tackling these issues
  • Vindicating the human rights of each individual
  • Preventing crime, bringing criminals to justice, through the detection and investigating of crime, and improving rail safety
