LIVE: Two men charged over serious assault in Tipperary after man doused in petrol

A male in his 40s was treated at the scene and subsequently transported by ambulance to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.

Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Knockane, county Tipperary shortly after 9pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

A male in his 40s was treated at the scene and subsequently transported by ambulance to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.

Two males, aged in their 20s, were later arrested in connection with the investigation and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in Tipperary.

They have both since been charged and are expected to appear before Dungarvan District Court on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Investigations are ongoing.
