Speaking on the matter today, Deputy O’Meara stated: “I worked closely with the committee, many locals and Minister Darragh Calleary to get this funding over the line. Following a successful appeal, Terryglass Community Hall was today granted €86,000. This will fund the enhancement of the main hall, improving safety, sustainability for community activities, and longevity, while also upgrading their stage for better performance and fire safety compliance.
"Since 2022 when the Community Centre Investment Fund was introduced, funding of over €109 million has been provided towards the construction of new builds and the refurbishment and enhancement of existing centres.
