A driver has been caught by Tipperary gardaí doing 179 km/h.
The driver was caught by the gardaí exceeding the speed limit on the M8 outside Cashel, where the speed limit is 120 km/h.

The driver, according to gardaí, was late for court when he was caught.
Posting on Facebook, An Garda Síochána Tipperary said: "Tipperary Roads Policing Unit monitoring the M8 outside Cashel today detected this car travelling 179km/h.

"The driver who was late for court managed to obtain another day out in court. Please reduce your speed and #SlowDown."
