Final rehearsals are now underway for Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society’s pantomime, Alice in Wonderwall, which will be staged at the Strand Theatre in Carrick from Tuesday, October 21 to Saturday, October 25.
Some tickets are still available for the comedy musical show and can be purchased online or at the Strand Theatre Box office.

Alice in Wonderwall is based loosely on Alice in Wonderland.
Musical Society leading man Neill Bourke plays the White Rabbit while Liadhain O’Shea plays the female lead of Alice.
Deckie Smith Robinson fills the role of Tweedle Dum, Ger Breen is cast as Tweedle Dummer and Jimsy Dowley is Mrs Tweedle.
Niamh Healy is the Queen of Hearts, Clodagh Carroll plays the Knave of Hearts while Jonathan Caulfield has been cast as the Cheshire Catfish.
Caolan Deehy-Power plays Noel, Bobby Landers is the Mad Hatter, Audie Murphy plays the King of Clubs and Helen O’Hanlon is the March Hare.
Other notable cast members include Bryanna Lima as the Queen of Diamonds, her sidekick Ms Sparkle played by Maria Rayner, Freddie Doyle as the King of Hearts, Jim Kennedy as Sergeant Spade and Aoibhe Vahey as the Rose of Tralee. Shauna Maher, Ailish Walsh and Alannah Blackmore are soldiers in the show.
They will all be supported on stage by the young actors, dancers and singers from Carrick Musical Society’s Academy of Performing Arts who are intensively rehearsing at their scenes for the panto.
The script for Alice in Wonderwall was written in-house by show Director Sandra Power and her husband Conor.
The pantomime’s choreographer is Claire O’Hara and its chorus mistress is Siobhán Grace-Regan.
Nicole Breen is the production manager.

They are also on sale at the Strand Theatre Box Office on Wednesday, October 15 from 3pm to 5pm, and Thursday, October 16 from 11am to 1pm.
The panto will be staged nightly shows between Tuesday, October 21 and Saturday, October 25 at 7.30pm.
There will also be a Saturday matinee performance at 2.30pm, which will be suitable for children and adults with special sensory needs.
The theatre’s lights will be slightly dimmed and music played at a lower level for the performance.
