Tipperary County Council have advised the public that a busy street in Clonmel will be closed temporarily to facilitate road works in the town.
The R688 Upper Gladstone Street will be closed from its junction with Kickham Street, to its junction with Queen Street.
The closure will begin at 07:00hrs on Monday 27 October 2025 to 07:00hrs on Friday 14 November 2025.

The council have advised motorists to take the following alternative routes:
Traffic travelling from Kickham Park or Prior Park Road should divert via R707 Queen Street, L-3605 Bolton Street and Mary Street and R884 O’Connell Street.
Local access will be granted for residents.

The reason for this closure is to facilitate the repair/replacement of water main and all associated works, including reinstatement of carriageway, footway & verges where required.
