A decision is due in the next week from Tipperary County Council on whether to green light the construction of a new car park at Portroe GAA Club.
An application to build the structure was submitted by the club just outside of Nenagh on October 12, 2024, with subsequent further information requested by the Council in December.
The application, submitted under planner Olive O'Donnell is to construct a new car park area with entrance onto Ardarra Estate and permission for a 6 metre high lighting standards with led lighting.

It also includes the building of a footpath from the carpark to connect to Portroe GAA Club house grounds, connections to existing public services, with all associated sitework and ancillary works.

Meanwhile, Portroe GAA club is to officially open a new walkway on the grounds of the clbu this week.
All are welcome to attend the opening of this new walkway from 11am on Sunday, October 19.
