A Gala Celebration honouring Michael O’Donoghue will take place at the Excel Theatre in Tipperary Town next month.

An unforgettable evening of music, memories, and celebration awaits as Tipperary’s finest performers come together to honour one of the community’s great champions of the arts, Michael O’Donoghue.

Join organisers for Hey Mr Director, Thanks for the Memories on Friday, November 8 at 8pm in the Tipperary Excel Centre, a one night only gala concert celebrating Michael’s 80th birthday and his outstanding contribution to theatre and the performing arts.

Directed by Derek Rine, this special event will feature performances by St Mary’s Choral Society, Tipperary Musical Society, the Gaudeamus Choir, the Forge Players, and the Excel Youth Theatre, with Mary Rose McNally as Musical Director.

The evening will also include guest appearances from Deirdre Ryan, Derek Ryan, Madeleine Blackwell, Emmet Donlan, and Keith Dwyer-Green, all joining together to celebrate a lifetime of creativity, dedication, and community spirit.
