Council proposes closing another street in Tipperary's largest town for water mains works

Tipperary County Council has given notice that it proposes to close the L-7613 at Morton Street, Clonmel from its junction with Mary Street to the junction of Upper Gladstone Street for three weeks to facilitate the repair and replacement of water mains. 

The Council is proposing to close the street from 7am on Monday, November 17 to 7am on Friday, December 5. 

It's proposed that fraffic will be diverted via R-688 Upper Gladstone Street, L-3610 Catherine Street, L-7614 William Street, R-688-9 Cashel Street, R-707-2 Queen Street and L-3605 Bolton Street. 

The closure is proposed to allow repair/replacement of the water main and all associated works, including the reinstatement of the carriageway, footway and verges where required.

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary not later than 12 noon on Thursday 30 October 2025 or by e-mail to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
