Gardaí in Ballina, county Tipperary, stopped a vehicle on Friday night after observing dangerous driving.

the manner of driving of this vehicle resulted in gardaí stopping and speaking to the occupants. While speaking with the occupants, gardaí carried out a search of the vehicle and discovered what they believe to be a controlled drug, namely cannabis.

The driver is set to appear in court on charges of dangerous driving and possession of controlled drugs, pending analysis.
