J&N Clonmel group enjoy Marathon challenge

The 2025 Dublin City Marathon saw 22,500 enthusiastic athletes run the street of the capital and with the Halloween festivities in full flow it always seems apt that the Dublin Marathon should take place around this particular time of the year.

The pain and agony of the 26.2 mile endurance event may seem macarbre to onlookers but to those participating in the event they have trained diligently to endure the torture and pain that is needed to go the distance. Among those were 48 J&N coached runners from the  Clonmel area.

The early onset of wintery conditions with the cold and rain didn’t making it any easier for those who had done most of their training in warmer temperatures.

There was definitely no easy marathon journey for our 48 J&N coached runners who put in the hard miles since early June, working on their endurance strengthening through intensive interval sessions and long runs. Indeed, the early morning and late evening training sessions for over 4 months is a mighty undertaking and one could not but admire such dedication and commitment.

There was a multitude of emotions experienced by family and friends watching and cheering on from the sidelines and seeing all 48 runners run proudly down the finishing straight with personal bests and goals triumphantly achieved.
