The Clonmel Oil Steeplechase takes place at Powerstown Park racecourse in Clonmel on this Thursday November 6.
This will be the 23rd year of sponsorship by Clonmel Oil and the race has an illustrious roll of honour that includes household names like Dorans Pride, Beef Or Salmon, Sizing Europe, Douvan and Allaho.
Last year’s race was won by the Willie Mullins-trained Saint Sam.

As well as the three Clonmel Oil sponsored races, a very attractive programme includes the prestigious TA Morris Memorial Irish EBF Mares Steeplechase (Listed), and a Connolly’s Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle.
The day concludes with the Racing TV Flat Race.

In a first for Clonmel Racecourse, TG4 will broadcast six races live, bringing national coverage to the event.
Racegoers can also look forward to live music in the Club Stand Bar after racing.
