Tora-Kan Karate club of Ballyporeen recently hosted the Tipperary Open Karate Championships in Golden-Kilfeacle GAA hall.
This was a hugely successful tournament, with people attending from all over Ireland, even as far away as Mayo.
This was the third year this event has now taken place, and it is a critical element of the national event calendar for karate, as it is part of the selection for the national team.

It is proving to be a highlight of the karate year, with more than 150 entries this year.
