Well-supported Tipperary Golf Classic helps out a number of very worthy causes

In late August the Gavin McGurk Memorial Golf Classic took place at CahirPark Gof Club over 2 days.

With a large amount of entries, the fantastic Golf Classic was enjoyed by all. All proceeds went to Down Syndrome Ireland & Meitheal 21 as well as Cahir Defibrillators.

Thanks are extended to Cahir Park Golf Club and staff for accommodating the Golf Classic and looking after everyone so well over the 2 days, all those who entered and took time to play and all those who sponsored teams.

Thanks also to those in the Cahir and New Inn communities that sponsored prizes and vouchers, your support of these charities is much appreciated.

Last week, individual prizes and the Gavin McGurk Memorial Cup were presented to the third place team of Eoin Walsh, Alan Walsh and John Darmody which was sponsored by David Walsh of Cahir House Hotel. The Cup was presented to Team Captain Eoin Walsh by Rachel Butler accompanied by her dad Paul Butler and Patsy McGurk of Cahir Lions Club. Well done to all involved!
