Tipperary senior hurlers have jetted off to South Africa on team holiday

Tipperary hurling manager Liam Cahill lifts the MacCarthy Cup

The Tipperary senior hurling panel, their wives and girlfriends flew to South Africa at the weekend on a team holiday.

The holiday is a reward for their success after a season in which they were crowned All-Ireland champions.

Tipp lifted the MacCarthy Cup in memorable style when they beat favourites Cork in the All-Ireland final.

They beat old rivals Kilkenny in the semi-final.

When they return, they will begin preparations for the 2026 season, which will get underway with the Allianz National League at the end of January.
