Nenagh’s acclaimed Unravelling Shane MacGowan Tour is set to step into the national spotlight next week, with Sky News Ireland visiting the town to film a special feature on the project.

Organised by The Broad Majestic Shannon, the tour explores the life, music, and legacy of Shane MacGowan, tracing the poetic roots and local inspirations behind the late Pogues frontman’s songwriting. Since its launch, the tour has drawn music fans from across Ireland and beyond, eager to experience the places and stories that shaped one of Ireland’s most distinctive voices.

Now, as part of an upcoming feature, Sky News will be in Nenagh on Wednesday, 12 November, to capture footage and speak with those who’ve taken part in the tour.

“They’d love to hear from fans of Shane who’ve joined us — whether you’ve done the full experience or just a part of it,” organisers said. “If you can be in Nenagh around midday on Wednesday, we’d be delighted to have you involved.”
