Moyle Rovers captain Eabha Dolan receives the cup following their county final win
Having won the club's first adult county camogie title last weekend, the Moyle Rovers junior team will play Waterford side Ballyduff Upper in the Mai O’Connell Cup in the Munster Junior B Championship quarter-final this Sunday.
It was third time lucky for Moyle Rovers last weekend, who were crowned FBD Insurance Junior B County Camogie champions after heartbreak in the 2023 and 2024 finals.
Clonoulty Rossmore provided the opposition in Sunday’s final, and after ten minutes Moyle Rovers held a narrow two points to one lead.
However, a long-range free from Róisín Ferncombe found its way to the back of the net to edge Clonoulty Rossmore ahead, 1-1 to 0-2.

Despite enjoying plenty of possession in the opening half, Moyle Rovers found it difficult to break down a resolute Clonoulty Rossmore defence, with Jennifer Ryan, Sarah O’Dwyer, and Michelle Slattery outstanding in the full back line.
With 25 minutes played, Therese White rose brilliantly to catch a high ball and finished superbly past Erin O’Donnell in the Moyle Rovers goal, stretching Clonoulty Rossmore’s advantage to 2-1 to 0-2.

Eabha Dolan replied with two pointed frees before the interval, leaving the half-time score 2-2 to 0-4 in favour of Clonoulty Rossmore.
Moyle Rovers regrouped at the interval and came out in the second half with greater urgency and intensity.
Their pace of play improved as they began to spread the ball, open up space, and play wide, testing Clonoulty Rossmore at every opportunity.
Eavann Duffy opened the second half scoring in the 34th minute, followed three minutes later by a brilliant goal from Ellie Franklin, levelling the game at 1-5 to 2-2.
Clonoulty Rossmore struggled to respond, not registering their next score until the 45th minute when Róisín Ferncombe, who was excellent throughout, converted a free.
In the 50th minute, Eabha Dolan struck a shot that deflected off a Clonoulty defender and found the back of the net, putting Moyle Rovers firmly in control at 2-6 to 2-3.
From that point, Moyle Rovers really dominated.
Eavann Duffy was influential in midfield, scoring two further points, the second a fantastic team effort.
Eabha Dolan continued to impress from placed balls, while Emma Kiely and Ava Collins also chipped in with scores.
In defence Sarah Luttrell and Ava Wall were excellent in the half back line, making it very hard for Clonoulty to score.
In the end Moyle Rovers ran out seven-point winners, 2-12 to 2-5, claiming the FBD Insurance Junior B County Championship.
Eavann Duffy deservedly picked up the player of the match award for an excellent performance while others to stand out included Ellie Franklin, Eabha Dolan, Emer and Hazel Brennan and Emma Kiely, with Saoirse Butler also impressing off the bench.
For Clonoulty, alongside those already mentioned, Clodagh Ryan was tireless in midfield, with Julie Murphy, Sophie Maher and Andrea Quirke also prominent throughout the game
