Dementia Friendly Thurles to host annual Christmas memory café

Dementia Friendly Thurles will host its annual Christmas Memory Café on Wednesday 3 December at 11am in Bookworm bookshop. The festive gathering will feature music, song and gentle reminiscence, creating a warm and welcoming space for all who attend.

Guests can look forward to mince pies, seasonal treats and the group’s much-loved Christmas raffle. Christmas jumpers are encouraged to help bring a little extra cheer to the morning.

Pictured above is Cllr Jim Ryan presenting a €1,000 donation from Tipperary County Council’s GMA funding to the Thurles Memory Café. The contribution was accepted by Ursula Paine and Maureen Ely at Bookworm, where the café holds its monthly sessions.

The organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming friends, supporters and their wonderful musicians for this special Christmas event.
