The Premier County set the tone early, with Moyne Templetuohy’s Quiz team finishing second in the quiz competition and clinching their place in the All-Ireland decider in Killarney.
Attention then turned to the stage competitions, where Tipperary competitors once again showed their strength across the six disciplines. Newcastle continued their remarkable run of success by securing another Munster title, further enhancing their growing reputation in Scór circles.
There was joy too for JK Brackens as Lucy Daly produced an outstanding performance of her recitation piece titled “The AGM”. Her display ensured that the club’s excellent record in this competition remains intact.
Templederry enjoyed a memorable afternoon, with both their Novelty Act and Instrumental Music groups crowned Munster champions. Their double success completed a four title haul for Tipperary on the day.
There was also strong representation from Kieran Brennan in Solo Singing and Toomevara in the Ballad Group. Both delivered wonderful performances and were very unlucky to miss out on provincial honours on this occasion.
Tipperary Scór representatives can now look forward to the All-Ireland Final in Killarney in January, with the county heading for the national stage in style.
