Loughmore Castleiney have been dealt a major off-field blow with the news that senior hurling manager Eamon Kelly has stepped down following two seasons at the helm.

Kelly, a Kiladangan native, led the Mid club through a remarkable spell of success, guiding Loughmore to back-to-back Tipperary senior hurling titles in 2024 and 2025. The achievement marked the first time in the club's long history that they secured consecutive county crowns.

His departure brings an end to a memorable chapter for Loughmore Castleiney, who established themselves as the county's dominant force under his leadership.

The focus now shifts to the search for Kelly's successor, with club officials already in the recruitment process.
