The Christmas tree, provided by Le Chéile Cashel, took centre stage as residents celebrated the start of the holiday season. The event formed part of the wider “Cashel at Christmas” weekend, organised by Cashel Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Le Chéile and Cashel Rugby Club.
Highlights of the weekend included the Rugby Club’s Tractor Run, which helped bring the tree into town, and musical performances from the Cashel Brass Band and the Sunday Morning Singers, who created a festive atmosphere.
Councillor Browne also acknowledged the participation of Eoghan, Oisín, and a young volunteer, Alice, who helped switch on the lights. Local businesses, including Stove and Fireplace Fitters Cashel and electrician Nicky Kearns, provided essential support to make the event possible.
The festive celebrations continued with the Le Chéile Cashel Christmas Market and Fair at Halla na Féile, featuring over 40 craft and gift stalls, Santa and his elves, and a range of family-friendly entertainment. Admission was €2, with under-16s admitted free.
