The FIH Hockey Pro League was recently held over six days at the Sport Ireland Campus.
History was made by the Ireland Women’s team, who made their competition debut in front of sold-out crowds, ending a seven-year wait to participate in hockey’s most prestigious annual competition. During the week, Ireland also earned their first points in the league, achieving a result against England for the first time since 1994.
The 12-match FIH Hockey Pro League stage was organised in just 10 short weeks, with the National Hockey Pitch at Sport Ireland Campus transformed from a training pitch into an arena capable of hosting and showcasing six international teams.

Caoimhe Perdue from Cashel represented Ireland in the tournament. Currently playing with Dutch club HC Rotterdam, she had a very competitive outing and scored her first international goal for Ireland, using the drag-flick technique, in a 2-1 defeat by England.

Ireland will play the next round of the Pro League in Tasmania in February.
